FIREFIGHTERS rushed out to a blaze that broke out at a flat in Rednal on the weekend.
Smoke was seen billowing out of a flat on Birch Road on Saturday (October 14).
Crews from Bromsgrove and Kings Norton were called out to the blaze. There were no casualties.
A fire brigade spokesperson said: “Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was called out to a report of smoke issuing in Rednal at 11.31am on Saturday.
“A Bromsgrove Fire Station crew and West Midlands colleagues from Kings Norton attended Birch Road where there was a fire in a first-floor flat.
“The flames were extinguished by two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using one hose reel jet.
“All people were accounted for with no casualties and the incident was left with the police by HWFRS at 12.36pm.”
