VISITORS attending a special animal day at Hanbury’s Jinney Ring Craft Centre could find themselves coming face to face with an alpaca or trying their luck at ferret roulette.
The Animals R Magic event takes place in the gardens of the centre on Sunday, July 21 with all proceeds going to the Cinnamon Trust, a national charity which helps elderly and terminally ill people care for their pets.
As well as raising awareness of a range of animal charities, the event will provide an opportunity to handle a variety of different creatures including rabbits, hedgehogs and birds.
Visitors are also encouraged to bring their dogs as canine guests can also take part in a dog scurry and novelty dog show.
Other activities include pony rides, walks with alpacas and a form of roulette where visitors guess which tube a ferret will use to run out of a barrel.
“Animals R Magic is a fun event designed to appeal to animal lovers of all ages and it’s a great chance to meet some new four legged friends, whilst also raising funds for the Cinnamon Trust, one of our nominated charities this year,” said Jinney Ring owner Amanda Sunter.
“The trust is a fantastic cause which enables people to benefit from having pets in later life knowing that short-term or long-term care for the pet is available if it’s needed. We’re delighted to be supporting them and we hope the day will be a big success.”
Animals R Magic runs from 11.30am to 4.30pm on July 21. Admission costs £1 for adults and 50p for children. For further information visit jinneyring.co.uk
