SALES figures are painting a brighter picture at LG Harris, a paint brush manufacturer headquartered in Stoke Prior, near Bromsgrove.
Newly filed accounts at the Royal Warrant holder, which trades as Harris Brushes, show generated revenues of £54m in the year to June 30, 2015 - up from £51.8m a year earlier.
Gross profit for the year increased to £14.6m from £13.2m in 2014, although staff pension settlement costs pushed operating profit down to £1.3m from £2.2m.
As a result, Harris Brushes generated pre-tax profits of £1.5m, down from £2.4m.
A statement from the directors said the group will utilise its supply chain in the coming 12 months to diversify its product range.
It added: "This will further strengthen its service level, enhancing customer loyalty and bringing new opportunities for profitable growth."
Harris Brushes started life as The Midland Trading Company in 1928 and was renamed LG Harris & Co in 1933.
The company was awarded the Royal Warrant in 1961 and now employs almost 830 staff at its Stoke Prior HQ.
