FIRE crews from Bromsgrove were called to a car fire on Birmingham Road on Wednesday afternoon (September 28).
Firefighters from the town's station tackled the flames in the vehicle, which was well alight, during rush hour traffic at 5.29pm.
The car was on Birmingham Road towards Stourbridge Road junction.
The incident caused a number of delays and people were told to avoid the area, before it was extinguished safely.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesman added: "One vehicle was well alight on arrival.
"It was extinguished with one hose reel."
