A TEENAGER from a local school is to be featured on the Fashion TV channel.
The television company, which has a world-wide audience of more than 300 million viewers, recently came to Birmingham for its first ever televised event outside London.
And one of the 11 professional models chosen for the catwalk show was Bromsgrove School's Iskra Lawrence.
Iskra, who is 16 and from Kidderminster, was filmed at the Panama Club in Birmingham where she modelled a range of coats by designers whose work has featured at the London Fashion Week.
Iskra said the high fashion clothes were beautifully designed and tailored and the fabrics were amazing. Behind the scenes each model had their own personal dresser and makeup artist and she said the excitement and buzz was a great experience.
Iskra has also successfully auditioned for the National Youth Theatre and has been selected to join the most prestigious youth theatre group in the UK - previous students include Orlando Bloom and Daniel Craig.
She impressed the audition team with her monologue performance from the Greek tragedy The Trojan Women and now says she cannot wait to start training with the directors after the summer holidays. Vice-chairmen include Sir Sean Connery and Sir Michael Caine, while Sir Elton John is a patron.
Iskra has just completed her GCSE's at Bromsgrove School. She is an ex-pupil of Malvern Girls College and Holy Trinity School in Kidderminster.
