FRAUDSTERS conned an elderly Bromsgrove resident out of money over the phone after impersonating a HMRC employee.
The resident, from Stoke Heath, received telephone calls from a male and a female between 5pm on Wednesday, August 2, and 10.30am on Thursday, August 3.
In both instances, the callers said they needed to make a payment to HM Revenue & Customs by buying iTunes vouchers.
The victim did this and also provided the voucher numbers. A further call was then received later on Thursday telling them they needed to purchase further iTunes vouchers.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting 0182s of August 3.
To report a fraud please call Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.
