A TALENTED performance from the Worcestershire Youth Jazz Orchestra on Sunday kicked off July's line-up for the town's new live music event 'Bandstand Music in the Park'.
Throughout the summer, bands and artists will be celebrating 50 years of Sanders Park with 'through the decades' themed performances, culminating in a grand finale on September 16.
Val Wilson, events officer for Bromsgrove District Council, said “We’re really looking forward to July’s events. Last month the choirs event in particular drew over 400 cars of visitors so we’re delighted to see so many people coming to Bromsgrove to enjoy themselves.”
The Band of the Mercian Regiment will feature at the Poppy Picnic in the Park on Sunday, July 15
Blackwell Concert Band are next up on July 8, followed by a British Legion 'Poppy Picnic in the Park' charity event on July 15, featuring Band of the Mercian Regiment, a dog show, funfair, military vehicles and more.
Stour Concert Band will then play the third 'through the decades' show on July 22, before Arrow Valley Brass Band closes the month's performances on July 29.
All the events are on Sundays at the Jubilee Bandstand in the Kidderminster Road park from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, except for the Poppy Picnic which starts at midday.
Everyone is welcome to attend and guests are invited to bring along chairs, tables and picnics.
All outdoor events are subject to weather conditions.
