A NEW yoga and wellness festival is launching in Bromsgrove.
The Bromsgrove Yoga and Wellness Festival has been set up by Lisa Moore, a pilates and yoga instructor in Kidderminster and Bromsgrove with more than 10 years in the trade.
Yoga-goers can enjoy mini treatments, free yoga and pilates workshops, a dance class, wander through a selection of wellness stalls, and pick up a bite at an on-site restaurant.
Guests will also be able to enjoy an open day at Revive Gym at the Holiday Inn, with free access to the pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms.
The event takes place at the Holiday Inn on the Kidderminster Road from 10am until 6pm on Sunday, November 18, and is free to enter.
A £25 day pass will also be able to enjoy health and wellness talks, a relaxing sound bath, and free hot drinks and snacks throughout the day.
Lisa said: “I have been teaching in Bromsgrove for 18 months and I’ve realised how much Bromsgrove has to give for health and wellness.
“I am putting this festival on to bring together all the health and wellness industries of Bromsgrove and surrounding areas.
“People can come and have a look around free of charge.
“There is an open day at the gym and spa and many fun things to do.
“We have workshops from Daily Bread Yoga, the Wishing Well’s Ron Prescott and LMPilates and Yoga, and talks about all the subjects you can imagine about health and wellness.
“So bring your mat and a note pads and pencil. There is lots to do and learn!”
Lisa, who first came across pilates and yoga after suffering a back injury while working as a nanny, hopes the festival can encourage people to look after their bodies.
She added: “Modern day life puts many strains on our bodies and our posture.
“Classes are aimed at getting you to know your body, working to a level that suits you so you can leave feeling stronger, taller, confident and refreshed.”
Visitors are advised to bring their own yoga mats.
