A MAN has died after suffering a medical emergency in Bromsgrove.
Emergency services were called to Perryfields Road just after 7:30 am on Wednesday, June 15 to a man in critical condition.
Bystanders were performing CPR before paramedics arrived and staff continued with treatment.
However, ‘despite best efforts’ nothing more could be done to save the man and he was pronounced dead.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 7:33 am to reports of a medical emergency at Perryfields Road.
“We sent two ambulances and a paramedic officer to the scene.
“On arrival, crews found a man in a critical condition with bystander CPR already in progress.
“Staff continued with treatment at the scene but sadly, despite the best efforts, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed deceased on scene.”
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Around 7.40 am this morning (Wednesday, June 15) police received a report of concern for a man in a field off Perryfields Road in Bromsgrove.
"Paramedics attended and treated the man, who it’s believed had suffered a medical episode, however, unfortunately, he was sadly pronounced dead.
"His next of kin have been informed and a report will be prepared for the coroner."
