A WELL-KNOWN actor and comedian will be returning to his Bromsgrove roots when he opens a £16.2 million school building.
Mark Williams, star of 90s comedy The Fast Show with his catchphrase "suits you sir", and more recently as Mr Weasley in the popular Harry Potter films, will be opening the new North Bromsgrove High School building, in School Drive, this Friday.
North Bromsgrove High School, now a specialist media arts college, received funding in 2005 via the private finance initiative (PFI) project, building a completely new school with impressive facilities, on its existing site.
During his visit Mark, who attended the school in the 1970s, will be helping students when he runs a drama workshop.
The school's director of specialism, Steve Cowperthwaite, said: "Having Mark Williams with us on opening day is very exciting.
"He has achieved great things since his schooldays here and will be a wonderful source of inspiration for our students."
