VBG Fairfield saw their title hopes in the Bromsgrove and District Football League Premier dented as they suffered a 3-2 loss to Alcester Town.
The Warwickshire-based visitors saw Sam Bennett, Jay Gifford and top scorer Ellis Kalach score to throw the title race wide open.
Meanwhile, Rubery Athletic travelled to Oak Tree Sporting (OTS) and despite taking a seventh-minute lead through captain Jack Berry, they couldn’t see the game out and lost 2-1 as Lee Jagger and David Marsh struck back for OTS.
In Division One, leaders Northfield Athletic drew 1-1 at home to Wychbold RBL.
Jason Cowley put the hosts 1-0 up after 33 minutes before Wychbold’s set-piece magic on 40 minutes saw Colin Rudge head home the equaliser.
Sporting Rednal are really starting to motor now and a 3-1 away win at Stoke Sporting moves them up to third in the table, goals from Anton Gardner-Bennett, Lee Crook and a rare Daniel Wright goal.
