BROMSGROVE WORDS have announced the next meeting, at the Artrix, will feature the Royal Shakespeare Company director, Conall Morrison, speaking about his productions in the famous theatre at Stratford-upon-Avon.
At the meeting on Friday, September 12, he will also talk about his work as an associate director of the Abbey Theatre, Dublin, and as director of La Traviata for English National Opera at the Coliseum in London.
Last year, Conall Morrison directed Macbeth in the Swan. In the 2008 season of the RSC, his version of Shakespeare’s comedy of gender politics, The Taming of the Shrew, is in repertory in the Courtyard Theatre.
The play, featuring Michelle Gomez (from TV’s Green Wing) has earned rave reviews.
He will speak from 8pm and then, following a short interval, he will take questions from the audience.
WORDS season tickets are valid for this event. Non-members’ tickets are £10 (£5 for students), from the Artrix, Slideslow Drive, Bromsgrove or call 01527 577330.
