OVER the Rainbow, The Story of Eva Cassidy, comes to Worcester’s Swan Theatre on Thursday, September 25.
Starring Faye Tozer, it is a poignant and moving story of Washington born singer Eva Cassidy who, at the time of her death was unknown outside her home town of Washington.
But within four years Terry Wogan discovered and promoted her haunting interpretation of ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ to the top of the charts.
This compelling musical journey through her life takes in an idyllic childhood in a musical family, into the studio and on to her tragic premature death at the age of only 33 years.
This sad but uplifting love story features over 27 of her best loved songs recreated by a multi-talented cast of West End performers.
