TWO Bromsgrove churches are opening to pay tribute to those who scarified their lives in the First World War.
The Holy Trinity Church in Lickey, at the top of Rose Hill and St Catherine's Blackwell near the junction of St Catherine's Road, Linthurst Newtown and Greenhill will both be paying homage to the centenary of the Great War.
There will be various memorials inside the churches and members of the congregation will be on hand to answer questions about the history of the buildings and the activities which take place in them.
Resources are available to help people with their own personal reflections.
The remembrance events will take place on Monday, August 4, where both buildings will be open from 2 to 4pm and from 6 to 7 pm with a short service at the Holy Trinity Church at 7:30pm.
