CATSHILL and North Marlbrook residents marked the centenary of the First World War with a short service held on Monday, July 28.
The Parishes came together at Catshill War Memorial to remember those from the community who lost their lives in the conflict
Dawn Bowyer, chairman of Lickey End Royal British Legion, said: “I am pleased that the community came together on this solemn occasion and remembered the fallen from Catshill from world war one. It was a moving service.”
The Parish Council chairman Alan Kelly added: “It was moving to see so many attend the service to remember those from Catshill who did not return after the First World War.”
The Parish Council is planning to organise various events over the next four years to remember the First World War.
