FIRE crews from Bromsgrove rushed to a smoke-filled house on Swan Lane in Upton Warren after a wood burner caught fire between the chimney breast and liner.
At 2.16am emergency services were called and one fire engine from Droitwich and one from Bromsgrove attended.
The fire was extinguished using one hose reel, a nine metre ladder and a roof ladder.
No one was injured in the blaze.
