Burcot Garden Club
On February 1, the Burcot Garden Club held their Annual General Meeting. The usual committee members were all re-elected as no other members of the club wished to join them. Afterwards the club was treated to a colourful photographic show by Roger Umpelby featuring ”A plant lovers view of Fiji and Samoa”. This was just the uplifting experience that was needed on a very cold, damp February evening.
Next month, the subject for the evening is “4 Seasons and a Festival” presented by Adrian James. Very intriguing – lets see what the evening will reveal. Adrian has visited us several times before, so we know we are in for an interesting time.
The Burcot Garden Club meets every first Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm at the Burcot Village Hall. Talks are often accompanied by the sale of interesting plants, and always followed by free refreshments. Several times a year a garden visit is arranged, often to gardens that are unavailable to the general public. We extend a warm welcome new members and visitors alike.
