BROMSGROVE slimmers had a ball as they raised hundreds of pounds for Primrose Hospice at their annual charity bash.

Around 100 people turned out as the town's Slimming World group hosted a charity ball at Grafton Manor on Friday, May 18.

The event is the fourth the group has organised over the years, helping to raise £355 for Primrose this year.

Bromsgrove Slimming World consultant Gaynor Hale said: "I chose the Primrose Hospice as I know of so many people who have used the services that they offer. They rely on donations, so I wanted to help in anyway that I could."

Hospice community fundraiser Emma Williams added: "We are extremely grateful of the support that Gaynor and the Slimming World Group have given to us here at the Primrose.

"They have been supporters for quite a few years now and we simply can’t thank them enough for all that they do.

"We are always looking at new groups and organisations to work with so if anyone feels they can support their local hospice then please do get in touch.”
