TOWN MP Sajid Javid paid a visit to a Bromsgrove charity working to prevent sexual abuse of children, to officially open their new headquarters.
Mr Javid visited the Lucy Faithfull Foundation on August 10 to open its new base at Harris Business Park in Stoke Prior, having moved from Alvechurch.
As well as performing a ribbon-cutting, the MP met with senior managers and trustees to learn about its work.
He was also briefed on the services offered by the charity to help adults and professionals play their part in preventing child sexual abuse.
Mr Javid said: "It has been a great pleasure to visit the Lucy Faithfull Foundation today, and to hear about the charity's work, not just here in Bromsgrove but right across the UK."
Elaine McConnell, Chief Executive of The Lucy Faithfull Foundation, added: "We are delighted that Sajid Javid was able to make time in his incredibly busy diary to visit and find out more about our work to protect children.
"The support we have received in the past from parliamentarians and government has been vital in developing our services and work to prevent the sexual abuse of children.
"So the Foundation is delighted that Mr Javid has so kindly agreed to visit today and formally open our new headquarters here in Bromsgrove.”
