MEMBERS of Bromsgrove and Redditch Rock Choir were delighted to make their debut at the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer.
Different rock choir groups from across the UK were handed the chance to perform on each night of the arts festival throughout August.
The Bromsgrove and Redditch branch entertained a full house at the Space Triplex venue on August 23, performing sing-a-long favourites such as Don’t Leave Me This Way and Don’t Stop Believin.
Sue Wilkes of Bromsgrove Rock Choir said: “I absolutely loved it and was very emotional when we finished."
It's not the first time the group has rocked famous venues, having previously performed at Wembley Stadium, the Genting Arena and Birmingham's Symphony Hall.
They have also performed with celebrities including Toyah Wilcox, Kiki Dee, G4 and Chesney Hawkes, and last year they took part in their very own recording session at the world famous Abbey Road Studios.
Anybody wishing to get involved with the choir can join a free taster session in September.
Bromsgrove Rock Choir rehearses at All Saints Church Hall, Burcot Lane on Tuesdays from 8pm-9.30pm, while Redditch Rock Choir rehearses at Studley Sports Centre, Abbeyfields Drive on Wednesdays 8pm-9.30pm. Visit rockchoir.com for more information.
