A HAIR salon in Bromsgrove is tickled pink and eager to paint the town red as soon as they are able to after being crowned the best colouring and overall salon in the West Midlands.

Ginger Hair Salon, on Worcester Road, was named Team of the Year and, most importantly, Best Salon 2020 (West Midlands) at the Salon Awards 2020.

In addition, it was also named Best Colour Salon, while Charlotte Evans, who founded Ginger four years ago, won the individual Colourist of the Year honour.

"This is huge testament to the hard work that Charlotte and her team have put in, particularly over the past year when they have been forced to close three times due to the Covid pandemic," a salon spokesperson said.

"They have been overwhelmed by the support they have received and are chomping at the bit to get back in the salon - before any clients turn their hands to DIY hairdressing!

"Ginger celebrates your uniqueness, there's a laugh a minute and the stylists love making their clients feel fabulous!"

It is not Ginger's first success, having triumphed in the English Hair and Beauty Awards in 2019.

Last year, Charlotte, who has been in the hairdressing industry for more than a decade, moved Ginger into larger premises, undergoing huge refurbishment, and took on four new staff members to keep up with the demand.
