BROMSGROVE slipped into danger in Midlands Division Two West after a 13-8 defeat at second from bottom Newbold.
The Boars are third from bottom and level on points with Newbold after Saturday's loss.
Nick Copson scored their only try of the game while his brother Ben added a conversion.
Defeat leaves Bromsgrove on six points, four adrift of ninth-placed Whitchurch who opened up the gap with victory over Walsall.
Head coach Ross Baxter said his players were not clinical enough.
"It was almost a carbon copy of the home game we played against them," he said.
"We didn't turn all of the early pressure and territory we had into points.
"They gave themselves something to defend and we didn't have the nouse to break them down.
"We are trying to get a game for Saturday, so they players can try and get their frustration out of their system."
