ALWAYS wanted to work with animals? Well, you're in luck, because West Midland Safari Park is hiring!
The West Mids attraction is recruiting for six different positions - zoo keeper, theme park operator, food and beverage assistant, retail and admissions assistant, venues assistant and venues supervisor.

Ungulates keeper
The zoo keeper role is working in the park's ungulates section.
This exciting position requires candidates who can maintain high animal husbandry standards, such as feeding, cleaning, health monitoring and enclose maintenance.
The role includes monitoring the safety of our animals and guests in the drive through reserves and delivering keeper talks.
You need to be confident, motivated, and enthusiastic about wildlife conservation and have excellent communication skills.
Applicants will have or be working towards an animal related qualification. Previous experience in a zoological collection is desirable, although full training will be given. It is a physically demanding but very rewarding role.
The ungulates keeper will need to be observant with excellent attention to detail and be able to keep calm under pressure in a fast paced environment.
Due to driving in animal restricted areas you will hold a full, valid driving licence.

Theme park operator
This role will include operating the rides and attractions at West Midland Safari Park, advising guests on height restrictions and safety information and to provide a safe, entertaining and memorable day out for all of our guests.
The ideal candidate will have a "can do" attitude and will be willing to work hard to give theme park guests the best day possible. The park ideally wants applicants who are highly motivated, can follow safety procedures and demonstrate reliability.
You will need to be flexible in your approach to work outside of standard business hours, including weekends and evenings.

Food and beverage assistant
This assistant role involves working in the park's retail catering environments such as refreshment kiosks and sweet shops.
A typical day involves processing transactions to serve our guests refreshments such as ice-creams, bottled drinks, sweets, crisps and other delicious on the go treats and snacks.
The ideal candidate will need to be highly motivated, have a strong customer focus, be approachable and friendly, and confident in handling cash and card transactions.

Retail and admissions assistant
This role covers a wide range of tasks, including working in retail shops, guidebook selling, admissions cashier, face painting and selling from mobile units.
The ideal candidate will need to be highly motivated, have a strong customer focus, sales flair and be confident in handling cash and card transactions.
Applicants will have gained a formal qualification in mathematics and English.

Venues assistant
West Midland Safari Park is recruiting for the position of venues assistant to work across its on-site venues, the prestigious Spring Grove House, impressive Treetops Pavilion and unique Cellarz.
The role covers a wide range of tasks, including receiving guests, set up and breakdown of all events, table service, setting out table plans, dance floor assembly, cutlery, crockery, linen preparation and layout.
You will help to ensure that guests expectations are met or exceeded creating a memorable experience.
The ideal candidate will have a "can do" attitude and will be willing to work well as part of a team, maintaining a professional attitude at all times to deliver an outstanding customer service.

Venues supervisor
This varied role will require an enthusiastic and dynamic applicant, working with a diverse team to achieve both excellent customer service and to ensure that safari park guests' expectations are met or exceeded, creating a memorable experience.
As part of your role, you will assist in ensuring that all operational aspects of events are managed effectively on a day to day basis and ensuring the seamless execution of all events.
As a venues supervisor, you will ensure at all times that service, set-up standards, cleanliness, product quality and staff and guest welfare are a key focus.
