THERE has been a CRASH on the M5 motorway this morning.

The crash just before 9am led to the closure of one lane between junctions 3 and 4 southbound and caused delays of around 50 minutes. 

Highways England tweeted: "The #M5 southbound #J3 (#Quinton #A456) to #J4 (#BromsgroveA38) 1 lane has been closed due to a collision.

"Traffic Officers @WestMidsFire & @WMerciaPolice @CMPG are on their way to the area.

"There delays of 50 minutes on the #M5 southbound between J2 and J4 due to this incident.

"Please allow extra time for your journey if you're planning on travelling on this section of motorway this morning.

They tweeted at 9.33am that the vehicles were on the hard shoulder and all lanes were back up and running.
