Worcestershire's very own Matt Richards was part of Britain's first 4x200m freestyle relay victory at the Olympics since 1908.
Team GB have won gold in the men's 4x200m freestyle relay (6:58.58) yesterday, thanks to a heroic effort from 18-year-old Matt Richards, from Droitwich.
Growing up, Richards attended Bishop Perowne CoE College, training at both Droitwich Leisure Centre and then Worcester Swimming Club.
The Olympic swimmer's dad, Simon Richards, took to Twitter to post his victory celebration.
He wrote: "Doesn’t everyone drink beer at 0445hrs?!?!"
