A MAN was arrested after a stinger was used to stop a stolen car in Bromsgrove.
The car was stolen from the New Road area at around 3am this morning (Thursday August 12).
Police tracked down the car and used a stinger to bring the car to a halt on the Birmingham Road at Hopwood after a short pursuit.
Police enlisted the help of a helicopter to find the driver, before arresting a man aged in his twenties on suspicion of burglary.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Police in Bromsgrove responded to a burglary in the New Road area at around 3am where a car was stolen. The car was later found driving and was pursued by police for a short period.
"A stinger was used to bring the car to a stop on the A441 Birmingham Road at Hopwood. A police helicopter was used to help locate the driver and a man in his 20’s was arrested for burglary."
