A SERIOUS crash involving motorcyclist and a car on Bromsgrove Highway has closed both carriageways.
The crash happened at the junction of Bromsgrove Highway and Birchfield Road at around 7:20am.
Multiple resources have been sent to the incident including three ambulances, critical care car, air ambulance and a paramedic officer.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a serious road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist and a car at the junction of Bromsgrove Highway and Birchfield Road at 7.23am.
“We sent three ambulances, a paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford to the scene. Further details will follow when available.”
Police say the incident is still ongoing and urging motorists to avoid the area.
North Worcestershire Police tweeted: “We are still dealing with a serious collision on the #Bromsgrove highway. There is a complete road closure of both carriageways on the Bromsgrove Highway A448/A38 - B4504 #Webheath #Redditch Diversions are in place please avoid the area.”
