PLANS have been put forward to convert a former dessert shop on Bromsgrove High Street into a healthy takeaway and restaurant.
If passed, ‘Pepes’ would provide ‘healthy grilled food’ and is hoping to employ 15 staff.
The site has been vacant since Delightful Desserts closed last November.
The design and access statement states: “Internally the building will be finished to provide a modern elegant appearance to provide customer seating area.
“The proposed restaurant will provide a family friendly dining experience with family seating areas, providing healthy grilled food, as part of the new healthy style of living, something which is limited in the area and would be very successful.

“The proposed restaurant will help regenerate the current building and help inject money back into the community by providing jobs to locals and providing a healthy option of food.”
The restaurant and takeaway’s proposed opening hours are Monday to Sunday, 11am to 11:30pm.
