CORONAVIRUS lockdown breakers have been hit with fines by magistrates.

A Kidderminster man was fined for breaching coronavirus lockdown restrictions. Wayne Deakin, of Hurcott Road, took part in a gathering during the national lockdown on February 6. The 43-year-old was ordered to pay a £360 fine, £36 surcharge and £90 costs at Worcestershire Magistrates’ Court on September 7.

Another Kidderminster man was also fined for breaching lockdown rules in February. Jack Hudson, aged 29 of Hurcott Road, attended a gathering on February while the country was in lockdown. He was ordered to pay a court bill totalling £486 at Worcestershire Magistrates’ Court on September 7.

Meanwhile, a Redditch man was fined for being outside the place he was living during lockdown without reasonable excuse. Jordan Titmus, of George Walk, was hit with a £360 fine for the lockdown breach on February 9. The 21-year-old was also ordered to pay a £36 surcharge and £90 costs at Worcestershire Magistrates’ Court on September 7.

Over at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court, a man was fined for speeding in Stourport. Ahmad Khzri of Queen Street in Kidderminster was caught exceeding a 30mph speed limit on Minster Road towards Stourport on January 31. The 30-year-old was ordered to pay a £100 fine, £34 surcharge and £175 costs at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on September 10.

A Studley man was fined for obstructing a police officer in Bromsgrove. Jon Blackburn, of Outhill Farm, was found guilty of obstructing PC Smith in the execution of his duty in Bromsgrove on March 1. The 50-year-old was ordered to pay a £180 fine, £34 surcharge and £150 costs at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on September 16.
