TWO young mums have opened a new HQ in Tardebigge as their balloon décor business reaches new heights.
Sarah Mills and Megan Stokes met at antenatal classes and saw a gap in the market for ‘Instagrammable’ décor.
Sarah aged 33 then started looking for decorations for her son’s christening, but none would suffice.
“I brought some balloons from Amazon and Megan helped me create a balloon arch,” said Sarah.
“We then started creating more balloon arches around the house and posting them on Instagram.”
Since then Fizz Pop Events has took Instagram and Facebook by storm.
Sarah added: “We have been so busy the last two years, even through the lockdowns.
“We were doing all of our work form home and for a period we had a premise in Alvechurch, but it didn’t work out – we wanted an office that we could build ourselves. So, we build an office in Tardebigge.
“Lockdown birthdays were all the rage during the pandemic as people still wanted to make birthdays special.
“We offered doorstep delivery balloon arches and decorations in peoples home and when measures became stricter, we offered contactless balloon installations.”
Megan, aged 32 from Redditch, before the creation of Fizz Pop events, was firmly in the corporate world as a service implementation manager at a telecommunications company.
However, Sarah owned a wedding videography business and has always worked in creative roles.
“Megan reins me back as sometimes I can get a bit carried out with designs!” said Sarah.
The duo has generated a whopping 10k followers on Instagram and are loved by Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock.
Sarah added: “My favourite design was for Leigh-Anne’s baby shower as we worked with such a great team for the event.
“Leigh-Anne had a vision and I tweaked it slightly. I called a florist that I love to get them involved. It just all came together so well.”
Leigh-Anne also recommended the business for an ASOS shoot and for her birthday celebrations.
As well as catering to the music stars, Megan and Sarah have also designed a birthday balloon arch for Made in Chelsea star, Spencer Matthews’s son.
The duo’s designs can be viewed on their Facebook and Instagram pages.
