COSTA Coffee is set to open a drive thru in Bromsgrove after plans were given the green light.
Plans were put forward in July to build a drive thru on Morrisons car park on Buntsford Park Road, which was granted by Bromsgrove District Council on October 18.
Under the plans site access will be retained with vehicles and pedestrians arriving via Sherwood Road and customers accessing the coffee shop through the car park.
The proposals for the single-storey facility also include an outdoor seating area.
The design and access statement states: “The scheme seeks to revitalise the existing WM Morrisons car park by offering more choice to customers and generating new employment opportunities through the provision of a new drive thru coffee shop.”
The plan received three objections, based on concerns litter would increase.
Currently, there is only one Costa Coffee shop in Bromsgrove which is based on the High Street
