Last week, the Chancellor of the Exchequer delivered his Autumn Budget, setting out how the Government will deliver a stronger economy for the British people as we build back better from the pandemic.
Locally, I am delighted that Bromsgrove Town centre is set to receive a huge £14.5million commitment for regeneration and economic development.
The funding will be directed towards regeneration projects, including at the former Market Hall site. The investment will also provide a boost to the local economy and employment.
I was re-elected on a promise to level up and improve opportunities for people in Bromsgrove District– and this investment - a product of teamwork with my Conservative colleagues at the District Council, shows our power to deliver on the priorities of local residents.
Across the UK, more people are now in work, growth is up, and we are recovering faster than our major competitors. This Budget will make a real difference in helping working families with the cost of living, supporting businesses with their recovery, and investing in our public services.
I look forward to the work ahead to keep delivering on this.
