SCORES of firefighters continue to fight the massive fire at Hoo Farm Industrial Estate as they battled to get it under control overnight.
Fire crews from across Worcestershire continue to battle the blaze at MCD Kidderminster this morning (Tuesday).
Ten fire crews along with other appliances remain at Hoo Farm Industrial Estate in Kidderminster where the fire is still described as "significant".
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighting still continues at Hoo Farm with ten fire engines, two aerial ladder platforms and other appliances still on site.
"The fire remains significant with advice still to keep doors and windows closed if within the area of the smoke plume."
Jon Laight, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service group commander, said: "The hard graft continues throughout the night in very challenging conditions for all the Hereford and Worcester fire crews and supporting partners.
"The officer command team provide the leadership throughout an incident like this, each sector its own mini incident.
"Teamwork at its finest."
Station commander Simon Cusack tweeted to say: "Great progress has taken place overnight.
"Crews continuing the arduous work to extinguish with great support from fire control."
Fire chief Jon Pryce said they were starting to scale down the operation this morning.
"Incident in Kiddeminster still ongoing but scaled down this morning.
"Smoke plume now significantly reduced and most roads reopened locally.
"Fire crews and partners worked hard though the night to achieve this, thanks to all."
Staff from the carpet distributor and neighbouring businesses were evacuated yesterday morning as the fire took hold.

At its peak, over 100 firefighters were at the Hoo Farm fire with people living in Kidderminster warned to keep their doors and windows shut.
They included firefighters from Shropshire and West Midlands Fire Service.
Road closures are still in place, though many are now reopened, and schools near the fire are closed today.
Fire crews from Evesham brought their water carrier to Hoo Farm from the initial call and have also provided relief fire engines when needed.
The carrier carries two large water dams that hold a reserve of water which allows the carrier to go away and refill.
