BROMSGROVE Liberal Democrats have elected a new leader.
Hagley consultant neurologist and campaigner Dr David Nicholl is set to replace the outgoing chair Josh Robinson as leader.
Josh, who was elected county councillor for Bromsgrove Central taking the seat from the Conservatives in May, has served as chair for nearly two years.
The Lib Dems now hold three seats on Bromsgrove District Council and one of Bromsgrove’s Worcestershire County Council seats.
Josh said: “It has been a pleasure to chair the Bromsgrove Lib Dems the past two years as we have continued to represent our residents. I know David will continue to grow our local party so we can help more people with issues they may have.”
Newly elected chair Dr Nicholl said: “The increase in our vote share, recent by-election results and the hard work of our councillors, like Josh, are showing how the Liberal Democrats are the real opposition in the Shires."
