RESIDENTS are invited to remember the millions of people killed in genocides across the world at a Holocaust Memorial Day Service.
Hosted by Bromsgrove District Council Chairman Cllr Rod Laight and Rev Ray Khan from St John’s Church, the memorial service will mark the national theme which for 2022 is ‘One Day’.
It will take place in Sanders Park around the memorial plaque at 11am on Thursday, January 27.
Cllr Laight said: “It is important that every year we set aside time as a community to remember and think about the tragedy and atrocity of the Holocaust, Nazi persecution and subsequent genocides.
The service will attended by middle and high schools with North Bromsgrove High School’s choir performing a song.
Rev Khan said: “It is important that we remember the past so we can help shape the future and I am pleased that we are able to get together in person to do this.”
