HOUSE prices dropped by four per cent in Bromsgrove last November, new figures show.
But the drop does not reverse the longer-term trend, which has seen property prices in the area achieve 4.8 per cent annual growth.
The average Bromsgrove house price in November was £322,474, Land Registry figures show – a 4 per cent decrease on October.
Over the month, the picture was worse than that across West Midlands, where prices increased 1.9 per cent, and Bromsgrove underperformed compared to the 1.2 per cent rise for the UK as a whole.
Over the last year, the average sale price of property in Bromsgrove rose by £15,000 – putting the area 28th among West Midlands’s 30 local authorities with price data for annual growth.
First-time buyers in Bromsgrove spent an average of £249,700 on their property – £8,800 more than a year ago, and £46,700 more than in November 2016.
