A HAIRDRESSING salon in Alvechurch has undergone a huge sustainable refurbishment.
Bliss Hair Therapy on Red Lion Road has been transformed during the Christmas and New Year period.
The salon, which has been open for 14 years, was renovated four years ago but to “bring the salon into the modern day” clients will now experience an “eco-friendly space”.
Founder Zoë Rees entrusted the help of local interior designer, Jennifer Suzanne Interiors, who helped bring together a plan for the workspace, designing the new kitchen and staff areas.
Ms Rees said: “At Bliss we are really mindful of making positive changes to help preserve our beautiful environment.
“We partner with suppliers who are also eco conscious and bringing.
“We supported local tradesmen to carry out the work in the salon and sourced the furniture from our local warehouse.”
The refurbishment features huge real crystal chandeliers and more greenery throughout the salon which is thought to purify the air for clients and staff.
New flooring has been fitted as well as new wallpaper and a fresh lick of paint.
Ms Rees added: “We love that our clients are proud to say they come to Bliss, knowing that when they visit us, they are also helping to protect and look after the environment.
“All hair, metals, chemicals are recycled using the Green Salon Collective and we are proudly zero waste which means Bliss are zero to landfill.”
