PLANS to give the beer garden of a Bromsgrove pub a makeover have been given the thumbs up by planners.
An application was lodged with Bromsgrove District Council to transform the outside area of The Crown Inn on Stourbridge Road.
A new two-level decked area along with an outdoor bar, five seating pods with TVs and festoon lighting look set to be installed after the plan was approved on March 2.
The application, made by Greene King, stated the plan offered the opportunity for the pub to remain viable "in a changeable environment regardless of the time of year.”
Granting permission, the decision notice states: “It is understood that the purpose of the external works is to improve the viability and attractiveness of the venue within the local area and given that the site falls within the urban area, it is considered that the principle of development would be acceptable.”
