OUTDOOR weddings and civil partnerships in Bromsgrove are set to continue when temporary measures are made permanent.
From April 6, the law will change permanently so that entire ceremonies can be held anywhere in the grounds of a licensed venue.
The change will mean couples can continue having outdoor ceremonies at licensed venues across England and Wales, without being restricted to using a permanent structure such as a summer house or bandstand.
Hannah Perrott, Assistant Director for Communities at Worcestershire County Council said: “Our outdoor ceremonies have proved very popular since they were brought in as part of the temporary measures for the pandemic, so it is fantastic that we will continue being able to offer couples this option.
“The beautiful Worcestershire outdoors is the perfect backdrop to a wedding or civil partnership, and we look forward to seeing more couples enjoying it on their special day.”
