A GROUP of real ale enthusiasts have chosen Redditch and Bromsgrove’s Pub of the Year.
The Cross Inn at Finstall has been announced as Pub of The Year 2022 by the Redditch & Bromsgrove Branch of CAMRA (the Campaign for Real Ale) for the third time running.
The Pub of the Year accolade is decided upon by the local CAMRA members who nominate their favourite pubs, with the finalists then being judged by a strict set of criteria.
Gez Quinn, chair of Redditch and Bromsgrove CAMRA, presented The Cross Inn manager, Ryan Fessey with a certificate for the accolade.
Gez said: “Over the last two years it has become even more evident that the pub is a key element of many communities, so much so that even they were shut down, many of them were able to switch to delivery and collection services to provide food and drink to their customers."
Ryan said he is “chuffed to pieces” the pub has won the award again.
He added: “It is fantastic to know that after Covid our standards are still up there as they were before.”
The Cross Inn will now go on to compete against other pubs in Worcestershire for the title of Worcestershire Pub of The Year in a competition that leads to the ultimate award of National Pub of the Year.
