BROMSGROVE Sport and Leisure Centre is set to get a £175,000 makeover to its gym facilities.

The centre, managed by Everyone Active in partnership with Bromsgrove District and Redditch Borough Councils, is set to invest thousands of pounds to provide a new gym for members.

Due to be completed on Saturday, July 16, the gym will undergo extensive refurbishments to improve the layout and install brand-new fitness equipment.

As part of the refurbishment, the gym will benefit from a host of state-of-the-art fitness cardio and strength equipment including treadmills, watt bikes, and a cable station, alongside new flooring, and artwork.

Lloyd Barraclough, contract manager at Everyone Active, said: “Bromsgrove Sport and Leisure Centre remains an integral part of the community and we’re excited to build on this by improving our current gym offering. 

“We’re confident that our members will benefit greatly from this investment. Not only will it help to increase our prevalence as a hub for the local community, but also work to support our mission - for everybody to reach their target of 30 minutes’ exercise, five times a week.”

The gym will be closed from Monday, July 11 to Friday, July 15 for refurbishment work to be carried out but members will be given access to nearby Everyone Active Leisure Centres.
