A MAN has been jailed after killing a pensioner in a hit-and-run crash in Alvechurch.
James Bullock of Larkhill, Kidderminster has been jailed for five years following a fatal crash in Alvechurch last year.
Stephan Jones, aged 63, and his dog died after being hit by a car on Redditch Road on August 15, 2021.
Bullock, formerly of Shawfield Flats, Hollywood fled the scene after the crash and evaded police for 12 days, disposing of his mobile phone and the vehicle he was driving.
The 29-year-old previously pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and committing an act with intent to pervert the court of public justice at Gloucester Crown Court in April.
He was sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on Friday, September 9 to four and half years imprisonment for the first charge and six months imprisonment to run consecutively for the second charge.
Bullock, known as Jamie, also had links to Malvern.
