MIDDLE schools from across the area contested a rugby tournament at Bromsgrove RFC's Finstall Park.
Westacre Middle School triumphed in the under-7s tournament, while the under-8s event was won by Alvechurch Middle School.
Other schools taking part were Aston Fields, Catshill, Parkside and St John's.
Trophies were presented to the winning schools by Worcester Warriors duo James Brown and Jon Arr.
The tournament was part of the Boars' Club in the Community' schools initiative, which is encouraging pupils in the area to get active and helping to develop the rugby stars for the future.
The scheme has received backing from sponsors Regal Group.
Since it was launched last summer the scheme has been a hit with pupils at North and South Bromsgrove High Schools, providing coaching in and outside the curriculum and setting up an inter senior schools league for both Redditch and North Worcestershire School Sport Partnerships.
Building upon this successful structure, Vicci Webley, senior competition manager for Hereford and Worcestershire, has rolled out a similar set-up to provide more regular competitive opportunities for pupils in Bromsgrove middle schools.
