MORE than 300 people donned their Santa costumes to take part in Primrose Hospice’s annual fun run, raising more than £9,000.
On Saturday, December 4, the charity’s well-loved Santa Fun Run took place at Arrow Valley Country Park in Redditch to kick off the festive season.
Runners were joined by the big man himself and his helpers from Redditch Round Table, along with Flz Fit providing a warm-up.
The Mayor of Redditch, Cllr Ann Isherwood joined in the warm-up and officially started both the 1k and 5k races.
A total of £9,091 has been raised so far with more cash coming in from supporter’s sponsorship pages.
Cllr Ann Isherwood said: “To see so many people on a Sunday morning all dressed as Father Christmas was magical.
“Fundraising for Primrose Hospice is a very small way of saying thank you to those who have cared for those with a life-limiting illness.”
