BROMSGROVE Police have waded in on the Prince Harry and Meghan debate on Twitter.
The force replied to a tweet posted by BBC News referencing an article about the couple in which the Duke of Sussex is quoted: “I would like to get my father back, I would like to have my brother back”.
The BBC’s article is based on Harry’s upcoming TV interviews with ITV and CBS on January 8 – two days before his memoir, Spare, is set to be published.
Bromsgrove safer neighbourhood team’s Twitter account in a response posted: “maybe stop slagging them off??”.
Their tweet has since been deleted.
A police spokesperson said: “We’re aware of a tweet which was sent in error from a force account this morning.
“While this was unprofessional and is not what we expect from our officers, we are satisfied that this was a genuine mistake and no further action will be taken.”
