A NEW dementia café has opened in Bromsgrove.
The café, which opened on Wednesday, January 11, is based at Finstall Village Hall and will take place every second Wednesday of the month from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
The free social hub, run by Age UK Herefordshire and Worcestershire, is aimed at people with dementia, their families and carers in Bromsgrove and the surrounding areas.
Vicky Tramontana, co-ordinator of the café said: “The cafes are free of charge and give people with dementia, families and carers the opportunity to share experiences, have a chat and make new friends.
“We offer a range of stimulating and fun activities, such as quizzes, art and crafts, local history talks and music.”
Upcoming activities include a ukulele band, musical bingo and ‘get fit while you sit’.
