A FIRE broke out at an 'abandoned' building on Perryfields Road in Bromsgrove.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service rushed to the scene, which was near a school, earlier today (Thursday, February 23).

A fire service spokesperson said: “Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was called out at 2.48pm today to a building fire in Perryfields Road, Bromsgrove.
“Two crews from Bromsgrove Fire Station are in attendance at the brick building which is believed to be abandoned and is located opposite The Orchards School.
"Crews used two breathing apparatus units and one hose reel jet. By 3.58pm, dampening down was in progress.
“Damping down was completed and the incident status was closed at 4.32pm.”
The road was closed during the incident.
