A village pub run by the community has been named the best in the county.
The Queen Elizabeth Inn in Elmley Castle, near Pershore, was awarded Pub of the Year at the recent Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards 2022-2023.
Queens, as it is affectionately known, is a community-run pub where residents are shareholders.
Over 30 volunteers work together with the Inn’s paid staff to keep things running.
“We were thrilled to win 'Pub of the Year' at the Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards,” said a member of staff.
“Thank you to all our staff, customers and volunteers for your support.”

Queens dates back to the 16th century and also offers takeaway food, a virtual village shop, book library, and hosts many community groups.
A team from the pub attended the Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards ceremony at Treetops Pavilion, West Midland Safari Park, on Friday, March 24.
The Inn was one of 14 winners awarded on the night, with other categories including hotel of the year, attraction of the year, and experience of the year.
Dominique Bray, business growth manager for Visit Worcestershire said: “We were delighted to bring together the Worcestershire tourism sector for an evening of celebration and recognition.
“After the success of last year’s event, it was welcome to receive an increase of 111 entries creating tough competition.
“Congratulations to all our winners and highly commended. We look forward to seeing Worcestershire businesses go through to the Visit England Awards of Excellence later on this year.”
Judges visited the pub and commented upon the “well cooked, great tasting food” and “great customer service”.
They also noted that the pub has a “real feel-good factor”.

Queen Elizabeth Inn and the other winners will now be put forward for the Visit England Awards for Excellence.
Paul Robinson, chief executive of Worcestershire County Council said: “The Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards act as the perfect opportunity to celebrate the county’s visitor economy.
“Worcestershire’s diverse offering lures visitors from across the country who are seeking short breaks, amazing experiences and great places to visit.
“The success of the event gives Worcestershire a platform at a national level with finalists set to be recognised at the VisitEngland Awards of Excellence.
