A SWIMMING pool at Bromsgrove Leisure Centre has remained closed for more than two months with still no reopening date confirmed.
The main swimming pool at the centre has been closed since February 9 due to a leak.
Everyone Active, which runs the leisure centre said repair work is ongoing but they cannot provide a specified date when the pool will reopen.
Wayne Desmond, Everyone Active’s contract manager, said: “Work to repair the main pool at Bromsgrove Sport and Leisure Centre is ongoing.
“Due to unavoidable delays, we cannot specify how long this work will take and when the pool will reopen but expect to update customers in the next week.
“Our priority is that customers continue to keep active during this period, so where possible, we have transferred swimming sessions and lessons to the smaller pool.
“Customers can also use the pools at Tudor Grange Leisure Centre in Solihull and Studley Leisure Centre during the closure.
“We have frozen the swim-only memberships of customers who are unable to access alternative swimming facilities.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will continue to work with the council and our contractors to get the pool open as soon as possible.”
