UPDATE - The Cross City line towards Bromsgrove and Redditch has now reopened.
THE train line towards Redditch and Bromsgrove is blocked after a passenger was ‘taken ill’.
Rail services on the Cross City line from Birmingham New Street towards Bromsgrove and Redditch are currently cancelled.
West Midlands Railway tweeted: “Cancellations to services between Birmingham New Street and Longbridge: Due to a passenger being taken ill on this train between Birmingham New Street and Longbridge some lines are blocked.”

In a further update, the rail company tweeted the Cross City line towards Bromsgrove and Redditch is blocked at Kings Norton and services towards Worcester and Hereford are not affected.
Tickets are being accepted on local National Express West Midlands buses south of the city centre.
